![]() ![]() So to me the entire story was, as cheesy as this sounds, about how the type of person someone is matters so much more than their outward appearance. That's why he was so drawn to the mirror room, because he could see himself as he wished the world would see him. When the dwarf looks in the mirror in the beginning of the story, he also saw his true self reflected-tall and handsome, which reflects his hidden talent and intelligence. Ralph sees himself in the mirror, and the girl sees him too, and in the mirror's reflection Ralph appears shrunken and warped, which accurately reflects his inner self. ![]() If he was going to kill Ralph, why would he run away in the opposite direction with the gun? (view spoiler) [I wasn't sure either, but my guess was that the dwarf runs off with the gun planning on shooting himself-hence why the girl runs after him, to stop him. ![]()
